Practical Life: Exercises that teach self-reliance and enable your child to master the environment around him, including real-life tasks such as zipping, buttoning, pouring, and washing.

Sensorial Education: Builds awareness of the senses, including shapes and colors.  Develops the abilities of attention, observation, comparison, and classification.

"Education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the child and is acquired not by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment." Maria Montessori

Mathematics:  Develops mathematical concepts including counting, as well as associating the abstract symbol with the real-life quantity, the basis for success in elementary school math.

Language Arts: Teaches your child how to associate each letter of the alphabet with its sound, and to form words by combining sounds- through storytelling, puppetry tapes, records, and games.

Geography and Science: Enables children to experiment with nature and discover natural laws. Builds understanding about how the world is shared with others.

Group Activities: Social relationships such as sharing and taking turns are emphasized through the fun of art, music, story time and free play.

Computers: The Computer Center provides your preschooler the opportunity to become confident with new technology. Our software has been carefully selected to stimulate the imagination, while teaching basic math and reading readiness skills.

Arts and Crafts: By experimenting with many materials, children learn the basic techniques of cutting, pasting, painting and drawing.

Physical Fitness: Our physical development program uses exercises tailored to the needs of the growing young body. Children develop balance, hand-eye coordination, foot-eye coordination, large muscle groups, and general body and spatial awareness. Unique to Children's House is a large indoor physical fitness/play area.
